Pirelli launches Digital Welfare Initiatives to Support Employees during COVID-19
The current COVID-19 pandemic has led to many people working from home. In an effort to support its employees, the Italian multinational Pirelli has launched a series of online activities to help its people engage with the new mode of work, manage their families and the cope with the gradual return to work.
For the parents amongst its workforce, Pirelli has launched the online “Pirelli Smart Kids” program, with weekly “edutainment” activities to educate and entertain their children.
In addition, in an effort to upskill employees in the use of digital tools for teleworking, Pirelli has launched the online company training platform “Learning Lab”.
While the health crisis brought about by COVID-19 might be over, companies are still dealing with its dramatic social and economic consequences. To overcome present and future crises, companies need to join forces with their industry federations to increase the resilience of their workforce.
How? By engaging in collaborative actions via the European Pact for Sustainable Industry to double down on upskilling, reskilling, and social protection.
